Book Reviews
I was utterly absorbed in this novel by Kenneth C. Johnson. From cover to cover, I was fully engaged. The storyline was utterly original, and it was written in a way to make it quite compelling!
Silent Child, by Sarah A. Denzil, is a fabulous read! Given the dark subject matter of child abuse, I didn't think I would like it, but it had me hooked before the end of the first chapter. It is not a graphic story about child abuse (thank God); it is more about the aftermath.
Another great story from the master of great stories - Stephen King. I'm already looking forward to the second book in the trilogy!
Yes, this story has a dragon, but the part isn't as big as you may suspect. Thus, if the only reason you're avoiding this story is because you're tired of dragons, you should still give this a go!
Rarely - and I mean RARELY - do I award five starts. And rarely - and I mean RARELY - do I embark on a book with over 1,000 pages! With that said, I do wish that I could award six stars for this novel, and I also wish that the story went on indefinitely!
I considered this to be an exceptional story about the effects of climate change, and it was pretty well told. However, the excessive number of SPAG errors did take away from the story's enjoyment, at least for me.

I love a good race-against-time-or-the-unthinkable-happens thriller, and this one did not disappoint. Gideon Crew is a wonderful character, with his own array of assets and quirks.
