Faced with an evil witch and a resurrected dragon, Cassie wishes for the days of cleaning for an annoying stepmother and diabolical stepsiblings. With the loss of those who would assist her, Cassie's only hope is to defeat them before she loses far more than her glass slippers.
I enjoyed Reddell’s Legend. I read the previous review, and I agree with many of the things mentioned there, including the anachronisms, but the Cinderella story is pretty worn out, and I thought this was a pretty fresh approach. Yes, it should likely be marketed to YA Fantasy readers, but I still think the story was good. For such a short read, I thought the character arcs were developed, and I only came across a few SPAG errors.
Yes, this story has a dragon, but the part isn’t as big as you may suspect. Thus, if the only reason you’re avoiding this story is because you’re tired of dragons, you should still give this a go!
(Please note – this is a novella.)
